My name is Catherine Slomka Young, I am a registered dietitian. I am licensed in Maryland, Washington, DC, and Virginia. I received a Masters of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Loma Linda University. I have been a practicing dietitian since 2015, specializing in eating disorders, weight management, school nutrition, and nutrition education. I see patient’s of all genders, as well as ages 13 and up.
I also specialize in medical nutrition therapy for complex nutritional clinical needs. With comprehensive nutritional management I help patients navigate medically complex diagnoses. Together we bridge the gap between clinical pathology and daily nourishment, ensuring interventions support systemic health and medical stability. My scope of practice include pediatric feeding disorders and feeding difficulties, metabolic and renal support (e.g., chronic kidney disease, T1D, PCOS, pre-diabetes, T2D, and metabolic syndrome), and symptom management through malabsorption, micronutrient deficiencies, unexplained weight loss, and chronic inflammation.
