About Us
We all experience emotions, events, or environments that make the waters a bit murky. We may feel clouded in our judgment or movement through the world.
Sometimes it feels like we are the only ones feeling clouded and stuck. However, we know now that all races and ethnicities are equally as likely to experience an eating disorder or mental health concern. Our hope at Clarity Rose is to build a Center that creates a space for culture, within a field where representation and cultural considerations are still lacking. Clarity Rose aims to build a bridge between research and the community that creates spaces for everyone to see their emotions and life experiences represented on a larger scale.
I, Dr. Alexis Exum, would like to thank my grandmother, Rosa Jones, for her part in always providing me a place to clear my murky waters and allow my clouds to pass. Without judgment she provided me with a place of peace, to explore who I am and what I want from life, the people around me, and from myself.
Clarity Rose hopes to bring this open-minded, realistic, collaborative, and comforting approach to all in need of a place to clear their murky waters. We believe in the power of “Be-ing You.“
